Remove Packaging Materials

Start by carefully removing all packaging materials to access the bike components. This step is crucial for preparing a clean workspace and ensuring that all parts are undamaged and ready for assembly.

Install the Seat Post

Insert the seat post into the seat tube of the frame. Make sure the seat post goes past the minimum insertion line and is positioned securely. Tighten the seat post clamp to prevent any movement during rides. This is key to maintaining proper seat stability and rider comfort.

Install the Pedals

Install the pedals onto the bike:

  • The right pedal uses standard threading and should be screwed in clockwise.

  • The left pedal has reverse threading and should be screwed in counter clockwise.

Make sure both pedals are tightened securely to prevent any issues while riding.

Install Frame Protectors

Install the frame protectors from the parts box. These protectors help keep the bike’s frame safe from scratches or damage during rides, especially in rough terrain. Attach them securely in the designated areas, as instructed in the manual.

Install Reflectors

Attach the reflectors to the front and rear of the bike using the provided screws. Secure the reflectors tightly using a Phillips head screwdriver. Proper placement of the reflectors increases visibility and is essential for safety, particularly when riding in low-light conditions.

Adjust the Brakes

Use a 5mm Allen key to adjust the rear brake caliper bolts. Also, use the barrel adjuster to fine-tune the brake tension. Proper brake adjustment ensures that the bike stops effectively when needed, making sure your rides are safe and controlled.

Secure the Wheels

Check that both wheels are securely fastened by tightening the axle nuts. This ensures that the wheels stay in place during rides. It’s also a good idea to check the tire pressure before your first ride, ensuring they are inflated to the correct pressure listed on the sidewall.

Step image

Check the Steering Column

Test the tightness of the steering column by gently attempting to twist the handlebars while holding the front wheel. The handlebars should be stable and not rotate freely. Proper tightness ensures good control and stability while riding.

Charge the Motor

Before your first ride, ensure the motor is fully charged. Connect the battery to the charger and let it charge completely for maximum performance. Always ensure the battery is charged before long rides for optimal range.

Step image

Activate the Lights

Check the lights on the bike to make sure they are activated. If your model has lights, ensure they are functioning before heading out, especially for rides at dusk or in dark conditions.

Fill Out the Warranty Card

Complete the warranty card to ensure your bike is registered for coverage. Make sure to include your bike’s serial number, which can typically be found under the bottom bracket.

Final Safety Check

Before you start riding, conduct a final check:

  • Ensure all bolts and components are securely tightened.
  • Check the brake functionality by testing the brakes for smooth engagement.
  • Double-check tire pressure and wheel security.
